Anthrax' debut album is the most metallic they've ever done, in the sense that it reeks heavily of NWOBHM legacy, with twin leads and heavy metal clichéd lyrics. At this point, the had not yet found their own identity but this is still a very good record. The weak link here is of course vocalist Neil Turbin who got the boot shortly afterwards. Most songs here remain classics, including the Alice Cooper cover "I'm Eighteen" and I actually prefer this to how the band started to sound when the hip hop influences became too strong. - defender666
