Anata: The Infernal Depths Of Hatred

Technical death metal from Sweden. This their debut album is slightly more melodic than later efforts but remains a favorite in the Anata catalog, only topped by the outstanding "Under A Stone With No Inscription". The musicianship here is top notch of course as is the songwriting. Anata sometimes reminds me of a more technical version of Death, it's that good. A highlight here is track three "Under Azure Skies" but there really are no weak songs to be found on this album. My edition is a digipack. - defender666
