Arcturus' third album continues on the path already set on "La Masquerade Infernale" but it seems that the five year long hiatus between the albums were for the good because the songs on this one absolutely slay. The metal element makes itself much more present and takes tracks like "Kinetic" and "Nightmare Heaven" to unexpected highs. There is some really nice keyboard work on this album as well and the vocals sound really, really good. The production may be a bit plastic but overall this is a great Arcturus and a great metal album. - defender666
