Annihilator's debut album may well be the best the band has ever released. Jeff Waters is one hell of a guitarist and songwriter and this record contains nothing but really strong tracks. The production is crystal clear and the guitar work is amazing in both rhythm and lead sections (all guitars and bass are performed by Waters). Randy Rampage's vocals are a bit rough and these songs could have benefitted from a more melodic singer but this is a classic and Rampage's voice forever etched into the metal minds around the world. I remember seeing the "Alison Hell" video on MTV's Headbanger's Ball and I immediately knew I loved this. Melodic and technical with great leads. A true speed/thrash metal classic absolutely belonging to the top albums of this genre. - defender666
