Probably the weakest card in the At The Gates-discography, this album was recorded at Studio Sunlight which had proved quite a success for some bands. Since the debut had a really lousy production I guess the band had high expectations for this one but the outcome was quite the contrary. The band's identity and dynamic is totally stripped away by the completely dull and utterly numb production, making the band sound like any typical detah metal act. A shame, since there are some really good songs in here, most notably the fantastic "The Break Of Autumn" and the epic "Stardrowned". The two first tracks of the album are classics as well. As you probably have understood, not my favorite ATG album. - defender666
